  Hair Wearing Throughout The Ages

Men have worn wigs throughout history by as many males as females. Look at the fabulous locks of our first president, George Washington pictured on every dollar bill. The English court system.

Thadeus Stevens, Thadeus Stevens, (pictured left) was a well reknown 19th century U.S. Congressman and was known for his humor and wit. On one occasion while in the Washington DC, one of his admirers, an adoring female requested a lock of his hair. Now, collecting locks of hair at this time was as common as collecting autographs, or baseball cards. Thadeus was bald and wearing a toupée, so when the lady requested it, as in line with his humourous personality, he ripped it off and gave it to her.

I'm sure it was shocking !]
